Regions of Northern Cyprus
North Cyprus is divided into five regions: Nicosia, Morphou, Kyrenia, Famagusta, and Karpas.
- Karpas. It is the warmest part of Northern Cyprus, where rainfall is least frequent. The area is located on a peninsula. A separate, well-developed infrastructure is present here.
- Famagusta (Gazimagusa). An active town with clubs, bars, shopping centers, banks, and offices. The oldest and leading university in Northern Cyprus is located here. A place for students and partying.
- Kyrenia (Girne). A region on the north coast of the island. It is also a major port city. Its surroundings are very popular with tourists due to its magnificent mountain landscapes and views.
- Nicosia (Lefkosa) is the central part of the island, the capital of the Republic. The only airport is located here. An excellent location for concentrating business, small production, and much more.
- Morfu (Güzelürt). The town of Morfu itself is far away from the sea, but it has a developed infrastructure for life: there are schools and kindergartens, hospitals, and various entertainment facilities. The area is promising for development – there is still a lot of vacant land.
